HMMWV RAFFLE

1. Sponsor

The raffle is sponsored by Military Heritage Collection of North Texas (MHC), a Texas nonprofit organization and an IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit qualified to conduct raffles under the Texas Charitable Raffle Enabling Act (Texas Occupations Code Chapter 2002).

2. Eligibility

  • Raffle is open to legal residents of Texas who are 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase.
  • Officers and directors of MHC may NOT participate in raffle.
  • Void where prohibited by law.

3. Raffle Tickets

  • Ticket price: $25.00 per ticket.
  • Tickets are available for purchase from [start date] through [end date], or until all tickets are sold.
  • A maximum of 2000 tickets will be sold.
  • Each ticket represents one (1) entry.
  • No refunds once tickets are purchased.

4. Prize Description

  • One (1) HMMWV (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle).
  • Vehicle is awarded AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranties, express or implied.
  • Vehicle details:
    • Year: Depot Rebuilt 12/2008
    • Make/Model: M1097R1
    • Condition: Good condition given year of vehicle
  • The prize may NOT be substituted or exchanged for cash.

5. Taxes, Title, and Registration

  • Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, fees, title transfer costs, registration, inspection, insurance, transportation, and any other expenses related to possession or operation of the vehicle.
  • MHC makes no representation that the vehicle is street legal.
  • Compliance with Texas and federal vehicle laws is the winner’s responsibility.
  • A legal Texas “blue” title will be provided to the raffle winner.

6. Drawing

  • Winner will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries.
  • Winner need not be present to win.

7. Winner Notification & Claim

  • Winner will be notified by phone and/or email within seven days of the drawing.
  • Winner must respond within thirty days of notification to claim the prize.
  • Failure to claim the prize within the specified time may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner, as permitted by law.

8. Delivery of Prize

  • Vehicle must be picked up within thirty days of prize acceptance.
  • Transportation of the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the winner.
  • MHC is not responsible for damage after transfer of possession.

9. Liability Release

By participating, entrants and the winner:

  • Release and hold harmless the MHC, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage arising from participation or acceptance/use of the prize.
  • Acknowledge that the HMMWV is a specialized vehicle that may require training, maintenance, or modifications to operate legally and/or safely.

10. Publicity

By accepting the prize, the winner grants permission to the MHC to use their name, city, likeness, and photograph for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. Compliance With Texas Law

  • This raffle is conducted under the Texas Charitable Raffle Enabling Act.
  • No purchase is tax deductible.
  • Sponsor does not award cash alternatives or substitute prizes.

12. General Conditions

  • MHC reserves the right to cancel or modify the raffle if required by law or due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • All decisions of the MHC are final.
  • These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
